Originally from the UK, Colin has been practicing in New Zealand since 2005 and has played a leading role in the delivery of a number of award winning projects. Colin’s particular expertise is a focus on complex façade systems in seismic environments; working collaboratively with the specialist design and construction teams to achieve considered outcomes to challenging situations and produce engaging architecture that is not just elegant but robust. Whilst at Athfield Architects Colin has worked with Public and Private clients on a diverse range of projects, including education, housing, theatres, civic works and commercial development. Currently Colin is leading the project team responsible for the design and documentation of the 132 Halsey Street in Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter.
